About Us

PlaylisterUK.co.uk is a digital music media publication with a simple mission: to provide helpful, reliable, people-first music journalism for readers in the United Kingdom. We are part of Harbour Sound Media Ltd., but our editorial heart beats for UK audiences — covering the artists, songs, playlists, festivals, venues and industry stories that matter to British music fans. Whether you’re discovering new independent artists, following chart movements, or planning your next gig, we aim to be a trusted guide through the ever-changing landscape of UK music.

What we cover and for whom

Our editorial focus is squarely on music in and from the United Kingdom. We report on UK music news, British artists, album and single releases, streaming trends, radio culture, chart developments, independent music, festivals, concerts, venues, live events and the wider entertainment industry. You’ll find playlist features, artist profiles, reviews, interviews, release guides, explainers, opinion pieces and cultural analysis — all written for music fans who want depth, context and genuine discovery. While our operating company is registered in Gibraltar, every story we publish is edited with UK audiences in mind, and our readership extends internationally as well.

How we work

Every piece of editorial content on PlaylisterUK.co.uk is reviewed by a human editor before publication. For sensitive stories — those involving industry disputes, legal matters, allegations, minors, or rights and attribution issues — we have an additional layer of review. Our Standards & Fact-Checking Lead, Thomas Ellery, examines these pieces to ensure accuracy, fairness and compliance with our editorial standards. You can read more about our approach in our Editorial Policy and our Fact-Checking Policy.

Who is responsible

Our Editor-in-Chief, Oliver Kingsley, oversees editorial policy, corrections, publication decisions and content quality. Day-to-day editorial planning, publishing workflow and contributor coordination are led by Managing Editor Amelia Ward. Together with our team of editors and correspondents — including Sophie Larkin (Music News), Daniel Mercer (Playlists & Discovery), Charlotte Hayes (Live Events & Festivals) and Thomas Ellery (Standards & Fact-Checking) — we ensure that every story meets our commitment to integrity and usefulness.
